The author analyzes: 1) the role of occupational segregation in explaining the low wages among Mexican immigrants and their descendants in the USA; 2) whether Seguro Popular crowded-out private transfers in Mexico, and 3) the effect of students exposure to violent crimes on educational outcomes.
