The Construction and Negotiation of Meaning in Interaction: A Pragmatic Approach through How I Met Your Mother

The present pages are devoted to, following the communicative approach, showing an analysis conducted with a 4th course of ESO group A2-B1 level according to the CEFRL as for the importance of Pragmatics in communication, both as an addresser and as an addressee. To put it differently, this document is concerned with the teaching of how more is communicated than is said in real life through a sitcom which offers an endless range of unadapted informal examples language. It is ultimately concerned with how to acquire a foreign language rather than superficially learning it.
